The Chevrolet 5.3L LM7 LS V8 is one of the most popular and widely produced engines in GM’s legendary Gen III LS family. Manufactured between 1999 and 2007, the LM7 powered millions of Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs throughout North America and was also manufactured and assembled by GM Holden in Australia for locally delivered Holden Commodore, Statesman, Caprice and commercial vehicle applications. Factory rated at up to 295 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque, the LM7 was produced with features such as a robust cast iron block, aluminium cylinder heads and six-bolt main bearing caps, earning a reputation for exceptional reliability, durability and performance. Its non-AFM design has also made it one of the most sought-after LS engines for engine conversions and performance builds.
