The Chevrolet L99 6.2L Alloy V8 is a member of GM’s fourth-generation LS engine family, introduced in 2010 for the Holden VE Series II Commodore and Chevrolet Caprice. Built with a lightweight aluminium block and aluminium cylinder heads, the L99 combines strong V8 performance with modern fuel-saving technology, including Active Fuel Management (AFM) and Variable Valve Timing (VVT). Factory rated at 362 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque, the L99 delivers smooth, responsive power while maintaining the strength and reliability that have made the LS platform one of the most popular performance engines in the world.

This rebuildable Chevrolet L99 Alloy Short Motor provides an excellent foundation for an engine swap, performance rebuild or custom LS project. Featuring the lightweight aluminium block, the short motor is ideal for restoring a VE Commodore, upgrading an existing LS-powered vehicle or building a high-performance street or track car.
